Can you help?

We have rewarding volunteering opportunities in our day clubs, community groups and cafés across Wiltshire. However, there are a few areas where we need support more urgently. Currently these are:

  • Day club volunteers on Mondays and Fridays at Old Silk Works in Warminster or on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at our Scots Lane in Salisbury. This is a hugely rewarding role in a lovely 'family' of staff and volunteers. You'll be chatting to members, joining or leading small group activities, from Scrabble to dancing and everything in between, and helping serve refreshments throughout the day. Any special talents or skills that can enrich the day will be welcomed and of course you'll be well fed with a home-cooked lunch.

  • Community group volunteers at Ludgershall Movement for the Mind. You'll be helping set up the room, serving refreshments and taking part in the singing or gentle movement exercises in these uplifting, friendly groups.

  • Community group volunteers at  Amesbury Music for the Mind and  Amesbury Movement for the Mind. You'll be helping set up the room, serving refreshments and taking part in the singing or gentle movement exercises in these uplifting, friendly groups.

  • Bradenstoke Art Group (Lyneham). You'll be helping set up art and craft resources, taking part in activities and serving refreshments. These are wonderful groups where people living with dementia and a family carer create their own art projects, working at a leisurely pace with plenty of time for conversation and connection.

  • Our Muddy Boots group, REME, Lyneham is a friendly group exploring nature and which takes part in gardening and craft activities.  The group gives people living with dementia and their families the opportunity to enjoy the sights, textures, colours and smells of nature.  You'll be helping set up the activities, serving refreshments and sharing your love of the great outdoors whilst lending friendly support.
