Our services Activity groups Art groups Creating art can be therapeutic in all stages of life. It can be particularly helpful for people living with dementia who still enjoy the process of painting, drawing and being creative, and feel a sense of achievement with their finished work. The groups in Wiltshire are led by experienced artists or art therapists and support people to retain skills. They are also suitable for those with no artistic experience. Family carers are encouraged to attend as full members of the group, creating their own pieces of art and benefiting from the creative group atmosphere. In 2018 the groups were finalists in the Outstanding Art and Creativity category at the National Dementia Care Awards. The art groups are supported by fundraising and we make a small charge on the door to meet the costs of materials. It stays with her long after she’s gone home and she enjoys showing her art work to friends and talking about it too - Diane Jean's daughter Read more about how the group has helped Jean Video - 'Its something people can enjoy together' Manage Cookie Preferences
