Alzheimer's Support has kept us going this year. I don't know how we would have coped without the calls from someone who understands. Having your visits again, and now the club back open, has been a lifesaver for Mum - and for me.

Can you support people living with dementia this Christmas?

We need your support now to ensure more families living with dementia get the essential services they need this Christmas and into the future.

We spend 96p in every £1 on front-line services here in Wiltshire, so you know your donation will be well spent on the people that need it most. Please help to make a difference for people living with dementia this Christmas.

Dedicate a star for dementia

If you are unable to be with a loved one this year, or to remember someone dear to you this Christmas, why not dedicate a star to them on our virtual Christmas tree. You can leave a personal message with your donation and, as the tree lights up, see how others are remembering a loved one.

Help reduce loneliness this Christmas

Christmas is all about togetherness. Families and friends connecting, sharing moments and memories. But for people living with dementia the festive season can be a lonely time. And in this year of Covid, families affected by dementia have been more isolated than ever.

We're proud of how we supported our families throughout the pandemic. Our specialist staff provided support and advice throughout lockdown. We reopened our one-to-one home visits in May and moved heaven and earth to safely re-open day clubs and community groups in late summer.  We were there for people, and with your help we will be there in the years ahead.

Hear from people affected by dementia that we support

Jackie, you have no idea how much Alzheimer's Support are making a difference to us as a family. Since Mandy became Mum's support worker we have gone from struggling and just about existing, to enjoying spending time and doing special things together. Instead of worrying about the future, we are enjoying life and relaxing.
Going back to the day club for the first time today was so emotional for us. From gratitude and relief. Words cannot convey how much the club means.
I wish I could have filmed Mum's reaction to the online music. She lit up like a beacon, animated, interacting, laughing and talking me through it. it just took her off to a place where she is obviously so incredibly comfortable. Thank you so much.
