Constantly changing technology can baffle the best of us, and keen photographer Graham had been doing less and less since his diagnosis of dementia.

A member at Old Silk Works club in Warminster, Graham has been supported to get back to his favourite hobby by head of day care Grant Newton, himself a keen amateur photographer.

The pair chatted about their shared love of photography and compared cameras and lenses. Before long, a portrait project was being planned for the club members, staff and volunteers.

On the appointed day everyone took turns to pose and the resulting portraits have drawn great praise from his sitters and their families.

Grant said: "Reconnecting with much-loved hobbies is what spending time in our clubs is all about.

"I really enjoyed helping Graham to achieve this. It was so nice to see him get to grips with his camera again in fact I was very jealous of Leica. During the photography project he was a natural in putting his ‘sitters’ at ease- everyone got a high-five from him when he got the shot he wanted.

"The members were delighted with their portraits. We often take portraits photographs in the club and it is a lovely touch that these were created by a member himself."
