"A very, very interesting course. It’s good to share problems and to know I am not isolated..."

After a three year break, Alzheimer's Support are resuming in-person training courses for family carers.

Due to pandemic restrictions, the popular sessions have been conducted online since Spring 2020, but from June 2023, they will take place in person, in Devizes.

The relaxed and friendly six-week course provides an opportunity to find out more about dementia, learn about managing problems at home and the legal aspects of caring. Alzheimer's Support's team of facilitators are all experts in their field and very experienced in running sessions for carers, both online and in person. The presentations are informal with plenty of time for questions and discussion.

Participants on the course value the chance to get to know other people who understand what life is like caring for someone with Alzheimer's. A recent carer described it as: "A very, very interesting course. It’s good to share problems and to know I am not isolated..."

The courses run several times a year and are facilitated by Alzheimer's Support's Head of Community Services Kate Sharpe. Email Kate or call her on 01380 739055 to find out more, or click the link below.
