Alzheimer's Support's new art group opens next month at our new Dementia Centre in Warminster.

The weekly group will give people living with dementia and family carers the chance to create art in a friendly and supportive group. Under the guidance of artist Sarah Walters members will have a chance to draw, paint, sculpt, make collages, prints and much more.

Alzheimer’s Support already runs three very successful art groups in Wiltshire.

Head of Community Services Sarah Marriott said: “Our groups give people a chance to be creative and everyone goes home with something they have made each week. Our artists are really imaginative and come up with wonderful projects that everyone can do at their own pace. It is also a very sociable and relaxed environment and a great way to make new friends. No previous experience of art is needed.”

The group will meet every Monday from 2pm to 4pm from August 6th.  To find out more or to come along as a member call Vanessa on 01380 739055 or book your place online.

If you would like to volunteer at the group call Annie on 01225 776481.
