All this week our Home Support workers will be out and about delivering at taste of Christmas to nearly 300 people living with dementia in Wiltshire.

It will be a different kind of Christmas this year and this is our way of bringing a bit of seasonal cheer to people who are more isolated than ever and after a difficult year.

Like the best initiatives it's a team effort - and we're grateful to Asda, Waitrose and Tesco for donating the mince pies and crackers - and to our amazing team of support workers who are going the extra mile for the people they support this week.

Why not join in and support them by holding a Mince Pie Week get-together of your own?

How you can join in festive fundraising

  • Hold a virtual Christmas get-together with friends or your team at work. It could be a  afternoon tea party or evening meet-up on Teams or Zoom. Enjoy some festive food, share recipes and debate the best way to eat a mince pie!

  • Share your favourite way to eat your mince pie with a selfie - or pic of your pie - on social media. Use the hashtag #MincePieWeek and tag us @Alzheimer's SupportWiltshire (or @AlzheimersSupp on Twitter)

  • Donate to support people living with dementia in Wiltshire! You can donate online or by texting ASXMAS to 70085 to donate £5. (Text ASXMASNOINFO to ensure you don't receive marketing info.)

That's it!

Could you support people with dementia this Christmas?

If mince pies aren’t your thing, you can also donate directly to support our essential work in Wiltshire. We spend 96p in every £1 on front-line services, so you know your donation will be well spent on the people that need it most. Please help to make a difference for people living with dementia this Christmas.

Or you can dedicate a star on our virtual Christmas tree to remember someone special to you. You can leave a message with your donation and watch as the tree lights up with the names of dear people.
