You have no idea how much Alzheimer's Support are making a difference to us as a family. Since Mandy became Mum's support worker we have gone from struggling and just about existing, to enjoying spending time and doing special things together. Instead of worrying about what the future holds, we are enjoying life and relaxing.

We are proud of the way we support 2,700 people affected by dementia here in Wiltshire. We know how much our services mean to people - they tell us every day the difference our practical, life-affirming approach makes to their everyday lives.

We are on the frontline of social care, supporting people among the worst affected by loneliness and isolation of lockdown and the difficulties faced by services ever since. Since 2020 we have seen a 20% increase in people needing our support every year. As health and social services struggle to cope, and the cost of living crisis bites, our dementia advisers are seeing people with ever higher levels of need. We are often the only service providing practical support to people experiencing the devastating affects of dementia, and we do it from the heart.

You are indeed doing your jobs but you always go that one step further, you sprinkle your work with love and it arrives with a huge smile. You have definitely touched our lives in a special way.

Alzheimer's Support needs to raise £822 every day of the year to bring our award-wining services to people living with dementia and family carers. That's the shortfall between what we spend on the support we provide, and what we receive from council and health service contracts and the subsidised fees that we charge for some of our services.

Your support has never been more needed.

I wish I could have filmed Mum's reaction to the music. She lit up like a beacon, animated, interacting, laughing and talking me through it. it just took her off to a place where she is obviously so incredibly comfortable. Thank you so much.
