Join in Denim4Dementia this October and support people living with dementia.

Denim4Dementia is back!

We are once again asking people to host denim-themed get-togethers to support people living with dementia in Wiltshire.

Our annual fundraiser is open to anyone. You can hold a denim day in your workplace, while meeting up with friends, at school or in a community group, choir or book club!

However you get involved you'll be bringing people together in a fantastic cause.

How to take part in Denim4Dementia

  • Choose any day in the month for your D4D mufti day. October is our Denim4Dementia month, but if you want to go earlier or later, that's fine too.

  • Pull on your denim - the more the better - and ask your family, friends and workmates to join in too. Why not make it even more fun with a prize for the most denim, or most original outfit, or serve blue-themed cupcakes?

  • Ask everyone taking part to make a donation to Alzheimer's Support. We suggest £2 or £3 per person but any amount will be gratefully received.

  • Share your photos using the hashtag #Denim4Dementia, and tagging us @Denim4DementiaWiltshire on Facebook and Instagram, and @AlzheimersSupp on Twitter

Why get involved in Denim4Dementia

Taking part in Denim4Dementia is a great way to help support people living with dementia in Wiltshire.

Your fundraising will ensure our community singing groups, art groups, memory cafes and outdoor gardening groups can keep running, help people facing isolation and uncertainty to make friends and enjoy activities together. And you will be supporting the day clubs that are a lifeline to families affected by dementia, in many cases the only thing enabling people to remain living in their own homes.

It's also a great way to have some fun with your team at work or a way to give a light-hearted focus to a regular get-together.

The pupils and staff of Holbrook love donning their 'Denim for Dementia'.  It is a brilliant opportunity to show our support for a wonderful charity that makes such a difference to those living with dementia and their families.

It was great to get the choirs involved. Everyone enjoyed it and felt they were getting involved in something worthwhile.

We got involved at our singing group. It was lots of fun and a good feeling to be doing something to give back to the charity
