Alzheimer’s Support is proud to be hosting the South West’s second Dementia Social Care conference in November 2018.

The day will bring together innovative approaches in dementia social care in a one-day conference in the heart of the South West.  Experts will share their latest ideas and delegates will be able to hear from people living with dementia and their carers about what living well with dementia in their communities is really like.

The programme will be introduced by Professor Alistair Burns, the National Clinical Director for Dementia.

Wendy Mitchell, author of the bestselling Someone I Used to Know, will be sharing her insights about living with dementia.  Other speakers include:

Dr David Sheard, founder of Dementia Care Matters

Professor Roy Jones of RICE (Research Institute for the Care of Older People) in Bath

Members of the Laverstock Memory Support Group.

The day will include presentations, interactive workshops, posters and exhibits.
