We are Alzheimer's Support's Home Support team for North East Wiltshire and we have set ourselves a team challenge for 2021!

Mental and physical health are so important and never more so than the past year. Stimulating activities and hobbies are important too. We are there for the people that we visit each week and for each other.

With that in mind we aim to complete 21 personal challenges during the year, and as a team, to walk, run or swim 2021km by September 21st, to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s Support.

Each team member has set themselves some personal challenges to complete this year. They include Meat Free Mondays, running 5k, swimming, Zumba, reading more books and creating a photograph album.

Some of our friends that we visit will be taking part, too! If there is something that they would like to do this year that they haven’t been able to do for a while or perhaps have never done, we’ll help them to achieve this. It might be going to a café again, visiting shops or picking flowers, but after the past year, it’s all going to be great fun.

Our challenge will finish with a 21km team walk around Calne on Saturday 18th September, in recognition of World Alzheimer’s Day on Tuesday 21st September. Look out for us; we’ll be collecting donations on the way.

We would love it if you would sponsor our team challenge, so that we can continue to support those living with dementia in Wiltshire.

Thank you from Danielle, Charlotte, Michelle, Naomi and Sarah.
