Alzheimer's Support
Help us campaign for better diagnosis
Our survey into dementia diagnosis is underway. Do support us by filling in a survey form. Your answers will help us to understand why just 33 per cent of people with dementia in Wiltshire have a formal diagnosis - one of the lowest rates in the country.
We have two survey forms. One is for people who are concerned about their memory, whether they have a diagnosis or not. It can be filled in by a family member or friend on their behalf.
The second form can be filled in by ANYONE over the age of 65.
Click here to find out more and chose a survey form to download. The survey is the first part in the three-year project funded by Comic Relief.
Open morning for Dementia Awareness Week May 20 - 27
Join us for coffee, cake and singing at Park House, Trowbridge, at an open morning to mark Dementia Awareness Week.
Highlight of the morning will be an open-air Singing for the Brain session in the sensory garden opposite our offices.
All are welcome to drop in between 10am and 12.30pm to meet staff, find out how we can support you or learn more about living with dementia. The singing will be between 10.30 and 11.30am - weather permitting!
Envelope Collection
Alzheimer's Support volunteers will be knocking on doors throughout East and West Wiltshire as part of our annual Envelope Collection during Dementia Awareness Week.
If you can help by collecting in your neighbourhood please get in touch with fundraising manager Lesley Crawford or phone 01225 776481.
Volunteers needed!
We are currently seeking volunteers to work alongside staff in our Trowbridge day club on Saturdays. Also to help support a new walking group for carers. Call 01225 776481 to find out more.
iPads help in reminiscence work
