Come and join us in our 30th year for our amazing annual Walk to Remember! Tie up your laces, don your walking socks and join your local community in a challenge to help those with dementia get the support they need.

After the success of last year's event, which raised nearly £7,000, we have decided to hold our annual walk to remember in sunny Warminster again. Join us for the 8.5 mile walk up and over the beautiful Battlesbury Hill or the one-mile Meadow Walk around the nature reserve. Or, if it more convenient, you can take part in our new and exciting Lakeside Walk near Royal Wooton Basset.

Book by April and take advantage of our early bird fee this year, £10 for adults, £5 for children under 16.

For your registration fee you will receive a Walk to Remember T-shirt, fundraising pack and fundraising support, not forgetting a well deserved medal at the end so you can show off to your friends and family. Why not get your friends, family and colleagues to sign up as a team? The more the merrier and the more support we have, the more support you will be helping us to give in Wiltshire.

Well...what are you waiting for?!

About the walks

There are three sponsored walks that you can sign up for.

The big one is a challenging 8.5 miles, which starts in the park and carries on through the nature reserve, along the outskirts of Warminster and up into the surrounding countryside. It takes in breath-taking views and historic sights including Battlesbury Camp hill fort before winding back into Warminster town centre and finishing back at the park to celebrate with refreshments and celebrations.

The Meadow Mile Walk is a smaller, more manageable one mile walk for children, families and anyone who might find the larger one too far. It also starts in the park and takes in the lake and picturesque nature reserve, giving you the opportunity to spot fascinating wildlife also finishing at the park hall for refreshments and celebrations.

The Lakeside Walk to Remember is in the north of the county. The walks start at Royal Wootton Basset Rugby Club, heads round the beautiful Jubilee Lake and finishes back at the club for refreshments. Its roughly 1 mile, exact distance to be confirmed!

What you will receive

On the day, you’ll receive one of our T-shirts and a well-deserved finisher's medal, as well as lots of support and encouragement - and don’t forget our fundraising team is here to support you with every step of your fundraising from the moment you register.

Walking to change lives

There is no minimum sponsorship to take part but it's always good to have a target to aim for. Just imagine, £25 could fund a Support Worker for an hour, what a life-changing difference those visits make.

As well as having a fantastic day with friends, family and your community you will be helping us to provide invaluable support, dignity and independence to people with dementia, in their own homes. You make all the difference…
