Thank you for taking the time to visit our fundraising page, here is our story of why we are raising money.

We are a large loving family, comprising of 11 children (8 sister and 3 brothers) and over the years we have seen our family grow with the addition of our own children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Even though we have all been busy bringing up our individual families, we have kept close. Now that we are older, we are even closer and have an annual siblings holiday, something that we never had as children.

Sadly, in the last few years our brother, Tony (62) and sister, Pamela (65) have both been diagnosed with Alzheimer's which started when they were in their late 50's. We have seen the heartbreak that this awful disease has brought and still continues to bring to their families and to ours, having to watch them slowly disappear from who they once were. Pamela got to the stage where she could no longer live at home and is now being cared for at The Haven Care home, and our brother Tony, who is still able to live at home, has regular respite and stays at Coombe End, Marlborough.

Our team, The Bewley Gals, are Tony and Pam's 7 sisters, her daughter Gemma and 3 of our nieces with ages ranging between 15 to 70. We are participating in the Walk to Remember from Bradford-on-Avon to Devizes on the 19th May, a 12-mile walk along the beautiful Kennet and Avon canal. Please help us to reach our target for this very worthy cause.
