Chippenham Muddy Boots group meets on the second Wednesday of the month for gardening and wildlife-watching in the Sensory Garden at John Coles Park.

The group gives people living with dementia and family carers the chance to be involved in gardening projects in the park’s sensory garden. Activities will include pruning, helping with digging, weeding and planting. Everyone gets involved at their own pace. We are very relaxed, and members will be able to just enjoy sitting and chatting in a natural environment.

Projects include jobs in the herb garden, an alpine area and growing edibles such as carrots and peas.

Keen gardeners and absolute beginners are equally welcome. Each session also includes social time where members can chat over tea, coffee and biscuits.

'Town and country' groups

This Chippenham group has close links with our sister Muddy Boots group near Malmesbury which meets on the third Wednesday of the month in the more rural location of Adeline Farm, Long Newnton. Members are welcome to come along to both groups!

Please complete the form below if you are interested in coming along. Group organiser Pam Ollis will then be in touch to tell you more. Click on the enquire button to get started.

Please note it is free to sign up. We will ask for a £3 contribution 'on the door' to help towards meet costs of equipment and refreshments.
