A Walk to Remember is back!!

Join in the most beautiful sponsored walk in the west and have a fantastic day out while raising vital funds for people living with dementia.

After running virtual events for the past two years we can't tell you how delighted we are to be bringing back our much-loved Walk to Remember up Battlesbury Hill on Saturday 11th June. We can't wait to get together once again for our annual circular eight and a half-miler which takes in some of the best views in the west. We've updated the route this year and it really is the best yet.

All ages are welcome and children ten and under walk free! Why not organise friends, family and colleagues to sign up as a team? The more walkers who take part, the more essential support we can provide to those that need us here in Wiltshire.

Registration is just £10 for adults, £5 for 11 to 16s.

Choose your Walk to Remember

  • View of Battlesbury Hill Battlesbury Hill. A beautiful 8.5 miles up and around Battlesbury Camp, an Iron Age hill fort. We'll start in Warminster Park and carry on through the nature reserve, along the outskirts of the town and up into the surrounding countryside. We'll climb gently on well-marked paths through wildflower meadows to the wide top of the hill. It's a wonderful place to catch your breath and enjoy a well-earned picnic lunch while taking in 360-degree views across the surrounding downland.

  • Child running through the lakeside walk routeMeadow Mile Walk. A gentler route for children, families and anyone who prefers a shorter walk. As the name suggests it's just a mile long. It too starts in the park and takes in the lake and beautiful nature reserve, giving you the opportunity to spot wildlife as you make your way around. It's buggy and wheelchair friendly. Please note this walk starts at 11am.

What you will receive

Every walker will receive A Walk to Remember T-shirt, a well-deserved finisher's medal and certificate, a fundraising pack and lots of support and encouragement from our fundraisers Laura and Rachel.

Walking to change lives

The walk entry fee covers the cost of administration and walk resources. There is no minimum sponsorship to take part but we do ask walkers to do as much as they can to raise sponsorship to support our work. It's always good to have a target to aim for. Just imagine, £25 could fund a Support Worker for an hour - and what a life-changing difference those visits make.

As well as having a fantastic day with friends, family and your community you will be helping us to provide invaluable support, dignity and independence to people with dementia, in their own homes. You make all the difference…
