A Walk to Remember is back!!

Join in the most beautiful sponsored walk in the west (we think!) and have a fantastic day out while raising vital funds for people living with dementia.

After running a virtual event last year, we're delighted to bring back our much-loved Walk to Remember. We can't wait to get together once again for our annual eight and a half-miler which takes in some of the best views in the west.

All ages are welcome! Why not organise your friends, family and colleagues to sign up as a team? The more walkers we have, the more essential support we can provide to those that need us here in Wiltshire. By getting four friends together your sign-up fees alone could provide two hours of our much needed home support for someone living with dementia.

Book by the end of July to catch our early bird registration fee of just £10 for adults, £5 for under 16s.

Well...what are you waiting for?!

Choose your Walk to Remember

  • Battlesbury Hill. A beautiful 8.5 miles up and around historic Battlesbury Camp hill fort. We'll start in Warminster Park and carry on through the nature reserve, along the outskirts of the town and up into the surrounding countryside. We'll climb gently on well-marked paths through wildflower meadows to the wide top of the hill. It's a wonderful place to catch your breath and enjoy a well-earned picnic lunch while taking in 360-degree views across the surrounding downland.

  • Meadow Mile Walk. A shorter, more manageable route for children, families and anyone who might find the longer one too far. As the name suggests it's just a mile long. Like the longer walk it starts in the park and takes in the lake and beautiful nature reserve, giving you the opportunity to spot wildlife as you make your way around. It's buggy and wheelchair friendly so suitable for all! Please note this walk starts at 11am.

What you will receive

Every walker will receive A Walk to Remember T-shirt, a well-deserved finisher's medal and certificate, a fundraising pack and lots of support and encouragement from our fundraisers Laura and Rachel.

Walking to change lives

The walk entry fee covers the cost of administration and walk resources. There is no minimum sponsorship to take part but we do ask walkers to do as much as they can to raise sponsorship to support our work. It's always good to have a target to aim for. Just imagine, £25 could fund a Support Worker for an hour - and what a life-changing difference those visits make.

As well as having a fantastic day with friends, family and your community you will be helping us to provide invaluable support, dignity and independence to people with dementia, in their own homes. You make all the difference…
