The Friends of Savernake Hospital and Community have donated £7,000 to support Alzheimer's Support's activities in the East of Wiltshire.

The money will go towards our Memory Cafe at East Grafton and provide a much-needed new laptop for our Care Coordinator in the area. Most importantly, it will help with the travel costs of our support workers who criss-cross the area as they visit people living with dementia in remote rural locations

Alzheimer's Support CEO Babs Harris said: "I would like to thank the Friends of Savernake Hospital so very much for their generous contribution to our services. It is wonderful to receive support for travel costs in the area in particular. Our support workers provide a lifeline to people who can not get out and about under their own volition, and in the East of Wiltshire especially our travel costs are high. This will make a real difference to the services we can provide locally."
