The Chippenham Muddy Boots group will meet at John Coles Park, 10.30am-12.30pm on the last Friday of the month, and will become a fortnightly group in spring 2020.

The group gives people living with dementia and their carers the chance to be involved in gardening projects in the park’s sensory garden. Run in partnership with Foragers Farm, activities will include  pruning, helping with digging, weeding and planting, but the grou pis very relaxed, and members will be able to just enjoy sitting and chatting in a natural environment.

Everyone can work at their own pace in the group and keen gardeners and absolute beginners are equally welcome. Each session also includes social time where members can chat over tea, coffee and biscuits.

Projects include a herb garden, an alpine area and then in the spring, growing edibles such as carrots and peas.
