Saturday 16th May

Join us for A Walk to Remember in our 30th anniversary year!

Pull on your walking boots and join your local community in a sponsored challenge to help people with dementia get the support they need.

After the success of last year's Walk to Remember we are again holding our annual fundraiser in the countryside around Warminster - and are excited to have added a new short route in the north of the county.

All ages are welcome! Why not get your friends, family and colleagues to sign up as a team? The more the merrier and the more support we have, the more support we can provide to those that need us here in Wiltshire.

Book by 19th April to catch our early bird registration fee of just £10 for adults, £5 for under 16s.

Well...what are you waiting for?!

Choose your Walk to Remember

  • Battlesbury Hill. Our longest walk is a challenging 8.5 miles up and around historic Battlesbury Camp hill fort. It starts in Warminster Park and carries on through a nature reserve, along the outskirts of the town and up into the surrounding countryside. The top of the hill is a wonderful place to catch your breath and enjoy a well-earned picnic lunch while taking in 360 degree views across the surrounding downland and unspoiled wild flower meadows.

  • Meadow Mile Walk. A shorter, more manageable route for children, families and anyone who might find the longer one too far. It also starts in the park and takes in the lake and beautiful nature reserve, giving you the opportunity to spot wildlife as you make your way around.

  • Lakeside Mile Walk. New for 2020 and bringing A Walk to Remember to the north of the county. This gentle walk starts at Royal Wootton Bassett Rugby Club, and heads round the beautiful Jubilee Lake.

All three walks end with refreshments, medals and celebrations. Both shorter walks are buggy and wheelchair friendly.

What you will receive

Every walker will receive A Walk to Remember T-shirt, a well-deserved finisher's medal, a fundraising pack and lots of support and encouragement from our fundraisers Laura and Rachel.

Walking to change lives

The walk entry fee covers the cost of administration and walk resources. There is no minimum sponsorship to take part but we do ask walkers to do as much as they can to raise sponsorship to support our work. It's always good to have a target to aim for. Just imagine, £25 could fund a Support Worker for an hour - and what a life-changing difference those visits make.

As well as having a fantastic day with friends, family and your community you will be helping us to provide invaluable support, dignity and independence to people with dementia, in their own homes. You make all the difference…
