About the walks

Both walks are circular. The big one is a challenging 8.5 miles with a couple of stiff climbs rewarded with magnificent views across the Wiltshire countryside. It starts in the park and carries on through the nature reserve and outskirts of the town before heading for the hills.  We'll wind our way around Middle Hill, then head for the historic Battlesbury Camp hill fort - a perfect spot to break for a packed lunch.

The one-mile Meadow Mile Walk is a flatter, more manageable lakeside walk for families and all ages and suitable for buggies and wheelchairs. It also takes in a nature reserve with opportunities to spot wildlife as you make your way around.

What you will receive

On the day, you’ll receive one of our T-shirts and a well-deserved finisher's medal, a map of the route and lots of support and encouragement.  Our fundraising team is here to support you with every step of your fundraising from the moment you register.

Walking to change lives

The entry fee covers the cost of administration and walk resources. There is no minimum sponsorship but to help us continue to provide our services we would love all walkers to try to raise funds from family and friends. A great target to aim for would be £10 a mile.

We can help you with sponsorship forms or you could set up your own fundraising page on our website.

As well as having a fantastic day with friends, family and your community you will be helping us to provide invaluable support, dignity and independence to people with dementia, in their own homes. This makes all the difference…
