Pull on your walking boots and join in A Walk to Remember!

We loved every minute of this, and doing it for dementia made it even more special

Last year's Walk to Remember raised an incredible £15,000 for people living with dementia in Wiltshire. This year we're hoping to raise even more to support the families that need our essential services.

Our June walk starts and finishes at Bowood House near Calne. And we’re excited to be offering a second Walk to Remember near Salisbury on Saturday 21st September.

All ages are welcome! Why not get friends, family and colleagues to sign up as a team?

Registration is just £15 for adults and £5 for children aged 11 to 16. Children under 11 walk free.

About the walk

A Walk to Remember Bowood is a circular seven- mile walk near Calne and we are walking at the kind permission of our patron, Lady Lansdowne. We'll start at the Bowood House and Gardens car park, and after a fun group warm-up, head out into the beautiful north Wiltshire countryside. 

A Walk to Remember can be done at your own pace. You can walk with others or do your own thing. There are plenty of great views and scenic places to stop for a picnic along the way. Stewards on hand to make sure you find your way.

The walk winds back towards the estate, where you'll be given a medal and have a commemorative photo taken. The post-walk celebrations include plenty of tea and cake and chance to relax with other walkers.

What you will receive

On the day, you’ll receive a Walk to Remember T-shirt and a well-deserved Finisher's Medal, as well as lots of support and encouragement. Nothing beats the feeling of coming together to do something good for a common purpose! Our friendly team is here to back you up at every stage of your fundraising from the moment you register - just ask if you don't know where to start.

Walking to change lives

The entry fee covers your T-shirt and admin costs and we encourage everyone walking to fundraise to support our charity. There is no minimum sponsorship to take part but it's always good to have a target to aim for. Just imagine, £36 pays for someone to enjoy a day out in one of our much-loved day clubs in Wiltshire.

As well as having a fantastic day out, you will be helping us to provide invaluable support, dignity and independence to people with dementia, in their own homes. Your support can make a real difference.
