13 hours in a box - Ryan Eacott

When my son Ryan came to me and said, "Mum, I want to spend 13 hours in a box for charity" I was a little bit confused. My first thought was of his health issues and how spending all that time in a box might affect him, but there was no denying his passion to make a difference and I knew I had to figure out a way to make this a reality. I work as a Support Worker for Alzheimer's Support in Trowbridge so Ryan's first thought was to raise money in their name.

Ryan told me that he was inspired by a talk given at his school, St Augustine's by his hero, Danny Talbot. A World Champion, Commonwealth Games Silver medalist and two time Olympian, Danny has faced off with the worlds best on the biggest stages, including Usain Bolt. Ryan told me part of his message to the students at his former school was to do something that makes you happy and makes a difference to those around you and Ryan said that's exactly what he wanted to do.

I tasked my husband with getting some boxes and before I knew it I was writing to Alzheimer's Support to tell them of Ryan's intentions. We have 9 days to raise as much money as possible and anything you can give is hugely appreciated.
