Volunteering

People often ask if there is any way they can help us.

Singing for the Brain volunteersThis is sometimes because we have supported a family member through their dementia journey, or because they are aware of the work we do in local communities.

Some of the roles require specialist training in dementia awareness, which we can supply. Others just require enthusiasm and commitment.

It is up to you how much you do or how little. Even a few hours each month can make a big difference to the services we can provide.

HELPING OUT IN THE OFFICE
We sometimes have opportunities for people to help out with administration at our head office in Trowbridge.  This may include delivering leaflets and posters to venues including GP surgeries.

All new volunteers are interviewed and references checked. Some roles will require a Criminal Records Bureau check.
