Day Clubs

Our day clubs offer company and activities seven days a week.

Pancake day at Sidmouth ClubThey are run by specialist staff who focus on the person, rather than on their dementia, although they have a solid understanding of the condition and appreciate the challenges faced by carers.

Club members enjoy social contact and pursue hobbies that they enjoy in a safe, friendly and unpressured environment. Independence and choice are promoted at all times.

High staff to member ratios ensure there is time and space to get to know and engage with individuals and to ensure activities are tailored to their preferences and abilities.

Before joining one of our clubs, we meet the person and their family carers and discuss their needs, preferences and life history.  Taking time to get to know them well helps us to ‘match’ members with others to ensure a good group dynamic.

Lunchtime is a focal point in the day.  We provide a home cooked tasty meal that members can get involved in preparing if they want to. Some people enjoy helping to set the table and clear away.

All our clubs are currently oversubscribed and we operate a waiting list system. Please enquire early if you would like to arrange a placement.
