How Business Can Help

wiltshireWe are grateful to local businesses that support our work.

  • The Consortium is currently fundraising for us after naming us their Charity of the Year.
  • Nutricia organised a staff team challenge to make over the garden at Polebarn House day club
  • Carewatch sponsored our first ever staff awards evening.

There are other ways to get involved. These include:

Matched Giving

Many companies will match the funds that their employees raise for charities. Ask at work if your company is able to double your fundraising efforts in this way.

Payroll Giving – every £3.90 donated can be worth £10 to Alzheimer’s Support

The Home Office recently announced a grant scheme to help small and medium sized companies set up payroll giving. Depending on its size, a company will receive a grant of up to £500 to set up a scheme and the Government will match each donation (up to £10) by employees for the first six months.

Payroll donations are made before PAYE tax is calculated, so an employee’s donation of £5 per month would only cost them £3.90.  With Home Office matching, a donation of £3.90 is worth £10 to Alzheimer’s Support.

For more information contact Lesley Crawford on 01225 776481 email lesleyc@alzheimerswiltshire.org.uk. Lesley would welcome the chance to meet your company to talk about the benefits and how to put a scheme in place. Or log onto to www.payrollgivingcentre.org.uk for more details
