THE FRIENDS OF ALZHEIMER'S SUPPORT
A group of enthusiastic supporters founded the Friends of Alzheimer's Support in August 1994. Almost all those involved had experience of caring for dementia suffers among friends and family members an many had experienced the inevitable loss of loved ones as a result of the disease.
Committee meeting take place at intervals of about 6 weeks, rarely lasting longer than an hour. They set about the business of helping Alzheimer's Support in a very light hearted way and have a great deal of fun.
They organise a wide range of activities including coffee mornings, concerts, bazaars, fashion shows and themed evenings such as the dinner, death and detection evening.
